About the event

Learning Objectives:

1. identify how major systems of the body and brain become dysregulated due to experiences of toxic stress;

2. associate adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) to the risk for a variety of poor outcomes (mental health, physical health, and developmental);

3. locate appropriate, evidence-based intervention and treatment programs for infants and young children who are experiencing the effects of ACEs and their families in Miami; and

4. apply this information to their own work with the clients/patients they serve.

Training will be held in the 2nd Floor Conference Room of the Center for Social Change in the 2103 building.

Paid parking is available on Coral Way via PayByPhone or in the garage (entrance is easy to miss, between Subway and Plate, next to the Spanish restaurant Xixon).

Free parking is available on parallel street to the south, SW 22nd Terr.
