Businesses

To have a healthy transition to parenthood, families need to be truly supported--which is not reality for many mothers in the U.S. who work outside the home.

I offer consultation services to businesses to help them support new families coming back to work after the birth or adoption of a baby and to support breastfeeding in the workplace. I also offer consultation to child care programs to help them support breastfeeding families transitioning into care.

Moms at Work - Coaching Program for Transitioning Back to Work

Organizations use this coaching program to support employees who have just welcomed a new child into their home (by birth or adoption). Coaching supports the new mother in managing the multitude of changes as they transition back to work and their child to another care arrangement. Because of my expertise in both lactation and early childhood education, I can offer guidance around supporting breastfeeding in the transition back to work, as well as support the process of choosing high quality child care.

Supporting new mothers in the workplace translates into financial savings for the organization related to less time & productivity lost due to stress and lack of balance, lower healthcare costs, and higher retention of women who feel appreciated and supported.

Families whose employers offer this coaching program feel fully supported by their organization, understanding that their wellbeing is a priority.

Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care Program

I work with program administrators to help them implement policies, practices and structures that support breastfeeding employees and their families.

Supporting breastfeeding in a child care setting enhances the health and development of the infants, helps build connection between families and teachers, and saves costs by implementing workplace breastfeeding support for staff.
